Elfin Forest residents are represented by a variety of local, regional, state, and federal agencies. The following resources provide points of contact for services, community issues, and public policy matters affecting our area.
Residents are encouraged to stay informed, attend community meetings, participate in public hearings, and communicate with elected representatives on issues that affect the future of Elfin Forest.
Local Government
County of San Diego
The County provides services including land-use planning, road maintenance, public safety coordination, environmental programs, and other services for unincorporated communities such as Elfin Forest.
County Supervisor – District 3
The County Supervisor represents Elfin Forest on the San Diego County Board of Supervisors and serves as an important point of contact for issues involving County services, planning decisions, infrastructure, and community concerns.

Rancho Santa Fe Fire Protection District
Provides fire protection, emergency response, and community safety programs, including wildfire preparedness resources.

Responsible for providing natural gas and electricity to San Diego. San Diego Gas & Electric (SDG&E) periodically performs maintenance and infrastructure improvements within the community to ensure the safe and reliable delivery of utility services. These activities may require temporary road closures, lane restrictions, or traffic detours. Please observe all posted signs, traffic control measures, and directions from work crews to help ensure the safety of both workers and the traveling public. Call 811 before you dig to avoid hitting power lines to your house or a neighbors.
